About every three months some local departments get together to train and compare notes on techniques and equipment. Recently the Wayne fire department hosted one of these drills at their department. The Hammondsport Fire Department and the Tyrone Fire Department got together at the Wayne Fire station to do just that. All Three Departments were given a car with a patient inside and were instructed to extricate that patient the way that their department would. Afterward The group would go to each car and the IC from that incident would explain how they handled their incident. Once everything was picked up members from all talked about some different types of equipment that they use and some ideas that they have to make what they do better.
